What is RetailOS?

RetailOS is Storeplay’s platform for running the in-store experience. It brings Storeplay products such as Radio, Display, Scent, Media and IQ into one unified system, making it easier for retailers to manage multiple stores and devices.

Why RetailOS matters

RetailOS is designed to support more reliable and centralised in-store operations.

It helps with:

  • Managing store devices
  • Supporting more stable playback
  • Managing music, display, scent, media and queueing services
  • Giving head office teams better visibility across locations
  • Reducing disconnected tools and manual workarounds
  • Supporting future Storeplay features

What changes for store teams?

Depending on your setup, RetailOS may change:

  • Which Storeplay app your store uses
  • How your store logs in
  • How your store device is connected
  • How music is played
  • How screens or devices are assigned
  • Which Storeplay support instructions apply

If your business is moving from an older Storeplay setup to RetailOS, Storeplay or your head office team may provide migration instructions.

What products can RetailOS support?

RetailOS can support Storeplay services including:

  • Radio
  • Display
  • Scent
  • Media
  • IQ
  • Storeplayer devices

Your business may use one service or multiple services.

Do all customers use every RetailOS feature?

No. Storeplay is modular, so your business may only use the services it has selected.

For example, one customer may only use Storeplay Radio, while another may use Radio, Display and Scent together.
