Storeplay IQ

This article covers the staff dashboard and customer booking journey's in Storeplay IQ.

Storeplay IQ lets customers book appointments, join a virtual queue, or reserve a click and collect pickup - all from their phone, with no app to download. Staff manage everyone through a simple in-store dashboard. This article covers both sides: the customer booking journeys and the staff dashboard.

The three customer journeys

Customers book through a web link or by scanning a store QR code. Every booking ends with a code they show staff on arrival. Codes are prefixed by booking type: APT for appointments, WUP for walk-ups, and C&C for click and collect.

Appointments - booking ahead

  1. Now or Later - the customer taps Later to book a time slot.
  2. Visitor numbers - they pick how many people are coming.
  3. Date and time - they choose a slot for their visit.
  4. Review and confirm - they check the details and enter their name and mobile number.
  5. Booking confirmation - the booking is confirmed and an SMS is sent with the details and a link. They’re asked an optional question about the purpose of their visit (for example: just browsing, after a particular item, returning or exchanging, or collecting a click and collect order).
  6. Customer code - on arrival they tap Confirm Arrival and show their code (for example, APT-217) to staff.

Walk-ups - joining the virtual queue

  1. Now or Later - the customer taps Now to join the virtual queue.
  2. Visitor numbers - they pick how many people are coming.
  3. Review and confirm - they check the details and enter their name and mobile number.
  4. Booking confirmation - confirmed, with an SMS containing the details and a link.
  5. Customer code - on arrival they tap Confirm Arrival and show their code (for example, WUP-217) to staff, who can put them at the front of the queue.

Click and collect - booking a pickup

  1. Instore or Curbside - the customer chooses how they want to collect.
  2. Date and time - they pick a collection slot.
  3. Review and confirm - they check the details and enter their name, mobile number and order number.
  4. Booking confirmation - confirmed, with an SMS containing the details and a link.
  5. Customer code - on arrival they tap Confirm Arrival and show their code (for example, C&C-217) to staff.

The staff dashboard

Today

The Today screen shows every booking for the current day. Bookings are colour-coded by status:

  • White - the customer is booked but hasn’t arrived yet.
  • Yellow - the customer has arrived and is in the virtual queue.
  • Grey - the customer has been in the queue and been attended to.

Each row carries actions and indicators:

  • Filter - narrow the list by booking type (Appointment, Click & Collect, Walk-up).
  • Add a Booking - create a booking for a new customer at the counter.
  • SMS Reminder - send the customer an SMS to notify them.
  • Arrived - shows the customer’s arrival time.
  • In-store - tap this when the customer is in the store.
  • Overdue - flags a customer who hasn’t shown up at their allocated time.

Bookings

The Bookings screen holds every booking ever made. Filter by type (All, Appointment, Walk-up, Click & Collect), by name and phone, or by date range. Each row shows the booking details plus in-store and departed times where recorded.

Settings

Set up the store under Settings:

  • General store settings - store PIN, number of floor staff, store/venue floor area, maximum customer capacity (excluding staff), customer allocation for Storeplay IQ bookings, and booking timeslot duration.
  • Booking opening hours - the times the store is open and available for bookings, day by day, plus curbside click and collect hours.
  • Save - save any changes made in Settings.

QR codes and posters

Settings also holds the store’s booking links and downloadable posters:

  • Store website QR codes and URLs - the walk-up QR code and link, and the click and collect link. The QR code can be added to the at-capacity poster so customers can add themselves to the virtual queue.
  • Download posters - an At Capacity poster (used when the store is full, explaining how to join the virtual queue) and a Below Capacity poster (used when customers can freely walk in).
